Just wanted to give some positive feed back on my experience with Berrima diesel and the DPchip and exhaust package. However, if seems to vary considerably from a testimonial you shared in another place. Anyway, loving the DP chip, love the DMax and I would recommend it to anyone contemplating it. I wasnt interested in replacing clutches either.

My concern was the drivetrain having to cope with limits above what it was designed for. I must confess a remap concerned me, I was concerned that the remap would produce the promised figures which were high. I was contemplating a remap before deciding on a DP Chip, glad I chose the chip.

Apart from the on road driving I have done a bit of beach driving over the few days and the DMax traveled the sand better than pre chip. No more dropping down from 5th to 4th going uphill, I can actually still accelerate in top gear travelling uphill. The acceleration is quicker and smoother and the "grunt" is outstanding. Its only been a week but I have noticed a substantial change in the vehicles performance. Make sure you ask questions and that your dyno operator ‘translates’ your dyno results into information you can understand.I recently purchased a DP Chip for my 2015 Isuzu DMax and had it installed by a local mechanic. Remember that to the untrained person a dyno graph can be like reading and trying to understand your health check blood results. This will allow them to sort through and pick out the runs that can be best used to describe the vehicles dyno results. Most reputable dyno shops will perform multiple dyno runs so as to achieve a reliable repeatable average of runs. Don’t settle for 1 or 2 dyno runs as this will not be a fair and accurate result. It is up to your skilled Dyno Tuning Professional to test the vehicle thoroughly and accurately. Automatic transmissions make dyno results hard to read as there is no ‘solid’ connection to the wheels like found in a manual transmission. Larger diameter tyres not only drastically effect fuel economy but also absorb power. There are many variables in the way a dyno calculates power and there are further variables such as tyre size and transmission type. Simply put to make figures comparative, given that the manufacturer only offers crankshaft power and DPCHIP measure only power at the wheels, DPCHIP have calculated wheel power back to a ‘comparative’ crankshaft power.īe sure you don’t confuse the figures you see here with what you achieve on a dyno.
